About Us

This website was originally developed and piloted in 2003 with the financial support of employers in the West Midlands involved in the Transport Planning Skills Initiative. Following the success of this pilot it has since been expanded and launched on a national scale with funding from the Department of Transport and the Highways Agency.

The site is part of a wider initiative to address the skills shortage in transport planning managed by the Transport Planning Society following a survey undertaken by TPSI which showed that 89% of organisations who have tried to recruit within the last year have experienced difficulty.

The site aims to link potential employees to potential employers. The service is free to employees and those seeking new jobs in transport and for employers it is part of a range of benefits of Stakeholder Membership of TPS.
